Hi folks, it's been 11 weeks since i was here and this marks the mid-way of my attachment. Another 11 more weeks and i will be back. Time does passes very quickly in China. Maybe it's due to tthe weather conditions. The sky starts to darken at 5pm and it's pitch dark at 5.30pm. It's seems 10pm to me when it is actually 7pm. Each and everyday ended in a blink of an eye. Winter is approaching.

I just came back from a hypermarket with bags of groceries, mainly foodstuffs. The bus that brings us back home was fully packed until we decided to ask around if anybody stays in our area to share cab but still to no avail. In the end, 2 guys approaching us and we agreed. Flagging cab when there isn't any available ones is really infuriating, moreover the weather is really cold. In the end, one of the dudes called his friend to fetch us with no charges. This makes us felt suspicious towards him as in China, people will do anything and everything just for the sake of money $$. Kind-souls are few and far between. He told us that his friend will be arriving in 10 mins time but we waited for donkey years with arms and legs turning numb and yet he hasn't arrive.

Finally, he arrived and we got on the van. In the van, there is this screen playing some chinese MTV. The video simply suck as the dancer dressed skimpy and the dance moves were horrendous. It's such an eyesore to continue watcching the video. We would have reached home long ago if we had shared cab with a couple but since it's a free ride, we got nothing to complain.
Kind-soul fellow, thanks =)

Looking forward to company's upcoming events: X'mas party in Dec and Annual dinner and dance in 12 Jan. That's all folks.

Finally, we decided to visit the tourist attraction in Wuxi. This time it's Ling Shan. We are very fortunate to go on its 10th year anniversary and hence the admission ticket is 40RMB instead of 88.

The buddha statue was huge. It's was nice though.

Spin spin spin...

Lv and her friend, yo-yo

Look at the mess... horendous...

big and small...

something hidden inside the lotus at the peak.

AH HA! baby buddha

significant pillar...

Thousand kids on laughing buddha

Must touch his belly... as told

Luckily palm... must touch and walk around it... also as told...

STAIRS AGAIN!!!!

As yo-yo have to go back to his hometown in fujian because his grandpa just passed away hence we did not have sufficient to visit other tourist attractions but anyway there is still time.

I decided not to learn piano due to money constraint and also not to develop more photos due to the large amount of photos i had taken. 150 photos was already developed and 200 more was taken. If i'm going to develop all pics, it's gotta cost me a bomb and also the weight.

I had found a church in city although i don't know the name of it and i had already attended service since a month ago.... Oh well....

SAVE MONEY!!!!

Last weekend, we went to nanjing. We took the new train which is about 1 hour journey from wuxi to nanjing. It quite a beautiful place, at least better than wuxi.

Opposite the train station is a big lake park.

After which, we went to the city area. The traffic was terrible. The shopping mall are boring. All branded stuff. Then we headed on to one of nanjing's tourist attraction, zhong shan ling. This place is very very big. We din even mangaged to explore what to were supposed to see and we had to leave the place beacuse at 5.30pm, the sky is already pitch dark.
This place is where sun zhong shan corpse is buried. From all the history recorded, he is someone definitely worth praising. This entire maseuloum is built like a bell shape at the top view. It's completed in 1929.

Tons of steps...

A cauldron...

"grand palace"

Scenic view

This is where his corpse is place. The figure on top of the coffin is crafted by a czech dude.

Nothing musical inside.

white pigeons!!! Fei Ke Chuan Shu
It's really tiring walking up and down...
At night we went to this famous place called fu zi mian. In the older days, this place is where all the prostitute are located.
We stayed somewhere nearby Lv's friend university. After we settled down, we went to his university and have a look. It's very spacious and nice. Perfect place for couples to date. It's freaking cold in the night. Smoke is coming out of our mouth as we speak.
Next day, we went to the president house aka istana. Once again, this place is gigantic. How i wish i have a house like this. We walked for so long and it's only part of the place.

Emperor seat aka. Long Yi

Justice Room

Horse stable.
Bamboo.... Artist pic right?? i think my photography skills are good. ha

unique tree in the centre.

A perfect place to play mahjong. =)

Some ex president office. Kinda it's kinda boring to visit historical place as it's not really related to me or my country but well it's an experience...

Conference room..
After which, we went to visit a guy in nanjing university of aeronautical and astronatical. Lv is under a misson from her friend to take a photo of him. Got to know each other thru china version of friendster. Quite a cool university except that it's majority guy. Students here are linked to the government sector, air force or airline pilot. The drink vendors there sold draft beer at a damn cheap price.
We rushed off to the train station asap after staying in that uni for sometime. The most infuriating was we can't get the new train back to wuxi. We had to take the stupid and slow old train back which is around 3 hours instead of 1 hour. Moreover, the seats are much more uncomfortable as compared to the new train. Old train tickets cost half the price of new train tickets.
Got a new hair cut plus dye. Gotten curl treatment in the centre and straightening by some cream in front. Sat in the saloon for 3 hours but it's worth it. 150 RMB which is 30 SGD. And their cutting skills are reallly professional. This hairstyle is taken from a jap magazine. Quite ahppy with it beside the tiring part staying at the saloon.
