I'm back. Nothin special happened last weekend except that i decided to call some of my colleagues for a hang out. It was fun playin basketball with them although i don't like to play this sport due to my "tall-ness". Actually it's kinda a good thing to socialize with your colleagues to strengthen the bond between me and them. I'm expecting more outings to come and true enough, it just happened. I did not board the company bus back home and instead i played table tennis aka ping pong after work is fun although they are kinda fierce, with all the "HU!" , "HA" and smacking.

Now it's getting colder due to the cold wind coming from the East side of China. 11 degrees is freezing me out. BRRRRRRRRRR i'm so cold i'm so cold i'm so cold. i'll got spongebob square my heart used to be... WHAHAHA...

Once again, i can't view blogs!!!! and this time round, not only i can't view blogs, i can't surf youtube and other US websites. Freaking pissed. Oh welll, at least i can surf mobtv.

In China, fireworks are everywhere and they are so beautiful. There is once i saw fireworks in the sky and i felt like an idiot standing there alone and watched. No a single soul bothered to look at it. Isn't it weird? But the fact that in China, fireworks is everywhere and it happened so often that people don't even care except for the ones they let out. How i wish Singapore allow us to play with fireworks. China dudes even release fireworks in broad daylight. Isn't that dumb and a waste of money? Anyway it symbolizes joyous moments or events. Fire-crackers is so freaking loud and deafening but no one covered their ears except me. I felt like an idiot once again hahaha... whatever...

Today during our working hours, we went to wuxi social welfare centre to take a look at our classroom which is sponsered by our company. This classroom is catered for down syndrome kids. This welfare centre have kids and old folks. Kids here are all orphans. They are waiting for someone to adopt them. Looking at how they have their meals and lessons are really heart-warming and cute.

Some kids here are normal while some are not. Some were down syndorme while some were dignosed with diseases that required operation. This centre was sponsered by the government.

Cool trip.

Thought that i should learn some skills and made my tryp in china useful and i found a music shop somewhere at my apartment. I decided to learn piano. Each lesson lasts for 45 mins and it cost only 50rmb which equivalent to 10 SGD. You can learn any type of instrument from violin, guitar, piano, saxaphone, clarinet, pi pa to di zi. All at the same price. Isn't that great?

This morning, our entire company went for a medical checkup. It was a thorough checkup where they will check every parts of your body. So many rules to comply before the checkup such as no eating after 9pm yesterday.

So every part of my body seems to be function normally except for my nose. The doctor said i gotten some "bi yan". Hope i can be cured through medication and not operation.

After checkup, the entire operation department which includes our dept as well as QC/QA, transport, planning and also the entire workers in the factory with the total of 60 person went for a lunch together at a restaurant.

The food were superb and yummy. Not too salty nor sweet. They brought alot of white wine and beer. Initially, i was drinking orange juice but when the supervisors came, i got to switch to beer. Somemore they used big goblet to serve beer for me. I got to finish the entire glass whenever they poured more beer for me. One by one each supervisors came to our table which is kinda irritating as i'm enjoying the good food here yet i need to drink the disgusting beer. Best part of all they kept telling me "last batch of Singapore students, agnes and yee siang can drink alot" so you have to drink as well. -_-!! I kinda surprised agnes can drink so well as she could finish a bottle of red wine alone! During her attachment here, 3 wedding banquet occured and twice she became drunk. Thumbs up.

I drank until my face became real deep red. I wanted to stop but they keep pushing me to drink. Luckily my table are mostly women and i need to follow 2 of them, rain and flora, to take the public transport back. They were drinking non-alcoholic drink initially as well but was forced to change when the supervisors came. When another supervisor came after the other had left, rain and flora quickly dashed towards the exit and that saved my life. The feeling is really terrible. Dizzy, nauseous plus standing on the squeezy bus is really crazy. Thankfully, i managed not to vomit at all although i definitely feel much better after puking.

LV went to visit her aunt at yang zhou which means to say i'm alone for this weekend. Just finished bathing her dog aka Barry. This stupid like to poo and pee alot in the living room. I had to clean umpteem times but it's still fun having a dog in your house. =) Hope i can experience snow in wuxi

This weekend we were to Shanghai. It's a fun place in terms of shopping. Firstly, i went to the oriental pearl. It's damn high and cool.

Next i went to the Shanghai museum.

Next i went to the busiest street in Shanghai. This place is crazy. Every shopping mall is 8-9 storeys. There were alot of private shops selling fake goods. U need to approach them. I brought a burberry wallet and some gucci key chains. =) Foreigners are everywhere in Shanghai. There are alot of them.

Next i went to ren ming guang zhang. This is really a shopping paradise for women. It's so freaking big although it's only 1 level. So many different types of bags and also dresses. What style u wan to be, u name it they have it. It's really alot of shops. Plus alot of assessories as well.
Brought an abstrain shirt there. It's so hard to find a short sleeve shirt now. Walked until my legs turned wobbly. Felt very lethargic. There is also a raffles city in Shanghai and it's 8 storeys high with famous shops just like Singapore. Breadtalk is everywhere. Brought 3 pork floss bread.
Stayed 1 night in Shanghai and it's so expensive 250 rmb. Somemore, i'm staying alone cos LV is staying with her boyfriend. No star hotel because it's an economical hotel but it's has everything include free internet. How cool is it.

Next i went to Shanghai marine aquarium. It's been quite some time since i went to such place.
Posionous fishes.

lionfish
Looks like a dragon
Shark Eggs

Sea urchins
Pig-headed turtle
Enormous crabs

After my trip to the marine aquarium, we roamed around ren ming guang zhang again before we went back by train to wuxi at 7pm. Only 45 mins journey.
I will definitely go back to Shanghai for more shopping =) Shiok-a-naden

This week is China's national day aka the golden week. I applied half day leave on sun so that we can travel earlier. The coach has no seats instead there are beds. There are 2 very narrow aisles and no shoes are allowed hence we had to removed ours before we step inside.

We left Wuxi at 4pm and the journey is around 10 hours. We should reached Fujian-Ning De at 3am but we met numerous traffic jams that we stucked there for 2 hours hence we reached ningde at 6am which is 14 hours of journey. How crazy is it. Midway, when the coach reached Su Zhou, alot of people kept knocking at the doors so that they can enter. There is no more empty beds yet the person-in-charge still allow them to enter. The only place they can sleep is the very very narrow aisles which make us having difficulties in walking to the toilet. The whole bus is so packed. Luckily it's over.

Upon arriving ning de, Lv's parents fetched us back to their house and we rested for a while before we began our travelling.

First we travelled to this pagoda in ning de.

Then we went for lunch at this noodle restaurant. Then after when mingchao reached ningde, we went to fetch him. Immediately, we carried on with our journey.

Next we went to this island which i had forgotten the name.

The place is really beautiful and the view is amazing. And that's the end of day 1.

Tue, we woke up early in the morning as we had to travel for 3 hours to this place call mei zhou island. But before we reached there, we visited Lv dad's friend whom they called him a bao fa fu (one-night millionaire). His house is just like an ordinary flat but the surrounding is very nice as there is a small river and opposite there are old folks playing chinese instruments. It feels like chinese new year.

After a while, we continued with our journey together with the bao fa fu family. When we reached there, a man kindly lead us to a parking lot. Then more people were fighting to get our cars into their parking lot. In the end, we settled down on this shelter parking lot and the parking fee is crazy. Oh well, after that we had our lunch at this seafood restaurant. The first dish is disgusting. It's a shell and inside the shell, there is something. I refused to eat it and Lv's grandma still gave mi 1. The moment i took the flesh out, green juice surged out and it is totally disgusting. And they ordered several disgusting seafood, somemore the bill is so expensive. Totally not worthy.

After lunch, we sat on a boat to mei zhou island,
